Entities

An entity is like a major character in the story of your business. It represents something important that you want to keep track of. In a retail business, an entity might be a Customer, Product, or Order. Entities are the core things that you’re collecting data about. For instance, every customer in your business can be represented as a “Customer” entity, each with its own set of data.

An example of a "Product Entity" in Daana.

Of course an entity needs to be described and defined also, and if you press the "DESC" button in the entity you get a neat little popup where you can do this. This information is also stored in the Data Dictionary.
